Position: Asset Manager, Denmark

What does an Asset Manager do?
As an Asset Manager at Fokus Nordic, I’m responsible for certain portfolios of properties in cooperation with a Fund  Manager. My job is to develop the properties and find the potential, which involves everything from negotiating letting agreements and planning renovation projects to handling budgets and optimising the operating costs and rental income. I’m regularly in contact with different stakeholders who are involved in the daily operations. Each quarter, we report to the property owners to give them a status on their portfolio’s performance and to discuss any relevant cases.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?
I love the fact that days are not alike. When you work with asset management, you have a wide range of responsibilities, and the work is multifaceted. Each portfolio is unique, with different property types and requirements, and I constantly need to adapt to these individual needs. That’s also why it’s important that I cooperate closely with the other departments in Fokus Nordic, so we can work together to create the best conditions for creating value for our clients. As an Asset Manager, I’m involved in everything from construction projects to letting and energy
optimisation measures.
