Background
Operating in harmony with the slogan, ‘Converting food into yield’, Cibus Nordic Real Estate AB has a grocery-anchored real estate strategy, investing in daily goods and groceries properties throughout the Nordics. It owns more than 450 properties throughout the region.
In 2022, Cibus Nordic Real Estate AB announced its intention to expand its presence in the Nordic region by establishing a platform in the Danish market. The company was looking for properties:
- With long-term lease agreements.
- Where 90% of the rental income is supported by a grocery store anchor tenant.
- Located in major cities and growth areas within Denmark.
- With stores that are important marketplaces in the local community.
- With high energy efficiency standards.
The Portfolio
Fokus Nordic partnered with Cibus Nordic Real Estate AB to acquire their seed portfolio, consisting of 34 properties across Denmark, representing a total investment of DKK 2 billion. Following the establishment of the portfolio, we continued our collaboration by facilitating the acquisition of three additional properties for DKK 55 million.
In 2024, Cibus Nordic Real Estate AB acquired five properties from Dagrofa, the Danish grocery chain, with Fokus Nordic acting as advisor. Later that year, we presented Cibus Nordic Real Estate AB with the opportunity to acquire 31 discount stores from ATP, the Danish pension fund provider.

- Brings the total number of properties to 73, with a combined investment of DKK 3.1 billion
