Founding Partner Tonny Nielsen will transition to the Supervisory Board after a decade of building the leading pan-Nordic real estate asset manager.
Fokus Nordic, the leading pan-Nordic real estate asset manager with c. €10bn in assets under management, has announced a senior leadership transition. Effective June 2026, Charles Dupont will assume the role of Group Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Tonny Nielsen, who founded the company and will continue to serve as a significant shareholder and member of the Supervisory Board alongside majority shareholder BlackFin Capital Partners.
Tonny Nielsen founded Fokus Nordic as a carve-out from Aberdeen Asset Management in 2016. Under his leadership, the company grew from a Danish real estate platform into a full pan-Nordic operator scaling assets under management from €1bn to approximately €10bn. Today, Fokus Nordic serves more than 40 institutional clients across four countries with a team of over 150 professionals in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki.

Charles Dupont brings over 25 years of experience at the intersection of real assets and investment management across Europe. He was a founding partner of Antin Infrastructure Partners, contributing to the fund’s exceptional performance. He subsequently founded and led Schroder AIDA, a regulated AIFM he built from scratch into a top 10 global infrastructure debt investor managing €4bn in assets under management, later acquired by Schroders plc. He then served as Partner and Global Head of Real Assets at London-based Investindustrial and board member of BauMont Real Estate, a €2bn value-add investment firm. Charles combines deep investment expertise with a demonstrated ability to build, transform and scale asset management platforms across complex, multi-country environments.
